8th INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE
“Health of Different Age Groups“

All abstracts of active participants at the international scientific conference “Health of Different Age Groups” will be reviewed and published in the online Book of Abstracts, which will be available on the conference website.
The topics for presentations should be in line with the main topics of the conference:
- HEALTH AND QUALITY OF LIFE ACROSS THE LIFESPAN
- PHYSICAL ACTIVITY, EXERCISE, AND HUMAN PERFORMANCE
- REHABILITATION AND CLINICAL PRACTICE
- NUTRITION AND LIFESTYLE – FROM HEALTH PROMOTION TO CLINICAL NUTRITION
- MENTAL HEALTH, BEHAVIOR, AND MOTIVATION
- TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION IN HEALTH SCIENCES
- PERSON-CENTERED AND EVIDENCE-BASED HEALTH CARE
The conference will consist of a plenary session with invited speakers and regular sessions. The plenary session will be followed by parallel sessions in which research and scholarly contributions from the thematic areas of the conference will be presented. In addition to these, the conference will also feature a poster session, where speakers will present their contributions in a succinct and concise manner.
For active participation in the conference, submission of an abstract by the specified deadline is mandatory.
Active participants will register for the conference after their abstract has been accepted by the Scientific Committee.
ABSTRACT PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ABSTRACT PREPARATION
- Contributors have to submit an abstract in English language,
- maximum from 2.000 to 3.000 characters, excluding title, authors’ names and affiliations, keywords,
- the length of the title should not exceed 100 characters (including spaces),
- authors should provide from 3 to 5 keywords,
- all (co-)authors and their affiliations must be listed, with accurate titles in English.
We will only accept scientific abstracts.
Scientific abstracts should comprise the following four sections:
- Introduction,
- Methods,
- Results,
- Discussion and conclusions.
Authors for whom English is not the first language should have their abstracts proofread by a proficient English speaker. Authors are advised to use the abstract template and the styles defined in the template when submitting their abstract. The authors are responsible for ensuring the linguistic accuracy of the abstract text. Abstracts that are not linguistically appropriate will not be included in the book of abstracts.
The abstract must present original work. Submissions must not be simultaneously submitted to other conferences or events. The authors are responsible for the ethical integrity of the research and for proper citation of sources.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Deadline for abstract submission: May 15, 2025
The abstract should be submitted as a Word document via https://fvz.upr.si/abstract-submission-form/. When submitting your abstract, please also indicate the title of the section/ topic of the Conference, for which you are submitting the abstract. Abstracts will be reviewed through a peer-review process after the submission deadline.
File Naming Guidelines
The file should be named after the surname and first name of the first author (e.g. NOVAK_TANJA_abstract.doc). In the case of multiple abstract submissions, a sequential number should be added to the file name (e.g. NOVAK_TANJA_abstract2.doc). After the review of your abstract, you will receive feedback with the reviewer’s opinion to your e-mail address. If any major or minor corrections are proposed by the reviewer, you will be invited to submit a revised version of your abstract. When resubmitting your abstract, please name the file in a way that makes it clear this is a revision (e.g. NOVAK_TANJA_abstract corr.doc).
COBISS Typology
For Slovenian authors: Abstracts will be classified into Type 1.12 (Published Scientific Conference Contribution Abstract) according to the Slovenian bibliographic system COBISS.
FULL PAPER PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR FULL ARTICLE PREPARATION
Full article submission is optional. Authors may submit the complete article if they wish, but it is not a required.
Full articles of the participants in the international scientific conference “Health of Working-Age and Older Adults” will be reviewed and published in an online Book of contributions on the conference website https://fvz.upr.si/konferenca/ after the event.
Deadline for the full article submission: August 10, 2026.
Full articles are limited from 10.000 to a maximum of 25.000 characters including spaces (approx. 6 printed pages, references included), maximum of 4 figures and tables (combined), A4 format, Times New Roman font size 12 pt, all margins 25 mm, single spacing, justified alignment, paragraphs without indentation but separated by a blank line, maximum of 20 references.
The full article has to be written in English language. Authors for whom English is not the first language should have their full articles proofread by a proficient English speaker. The abstract of the full article has to be in accordance with the previous accepted abstract.
The authors are invited to use the article template, which is published on the website.
The abstract should be submitted as a Word document on the website: https://fvz.upr.si/article-submission-form/.
After the review of your full article, you will receive the document with reviewer’s comments.
In case of major/minor revision suggested, you will be asked to resubmit the corrected text of the full article. It should also be submitted by email as a Word document to conference@fvz.upr.si.
Structure of the articles
A full article should consist of the following items:
- Title,
- Information about the authors: name and surname of the author/s, institution, address and e-mail address for each author and co-authors,
- Abstract and keywords,
- Introduction,
- Methods,
- Results,
- Discussion,
- Conclusions,
- References.
For Slovenian authors: Definition of the article typology
An invited lecture differs in significance from other lectures at the same conference. Invited plenary lectures will be classified into type 1.06 (Published Scientific Conference Contribution (invited lecture). Other articles will be classified into type 1.08 (Published Scientific Conference Contribution) according to the typology of documents/works for bibliography management in COBISS.

Conference Poster Guidelines
Poster size: 80 cm (width) x 100 cm (height)
Language: English.
The poster title section should contain:
- Title;
- Author(s)’ name and surname, Affiliation(s), Affiliation address and E-mail.
The introduction section of the poster should include the abstract and the keywords approved by the reviewer.
The introduction section should consist of the same sections as the abstract: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusions. The decision about subsections is left to the authors.
The poster must include the conference logos (provided on the webpage).
It is the responsibility of the authors to mount the poster on the conference presentation panel. In case of any issues, please contact conference@fvz.upr.si or refer to the conference registration desk.
Fixing materials will be provided by the organizers. At least one author should be present at the poster session during the presentations.
