Dr. Aleksandra Klisic, is an Assistant Professor at University of Montenegro – Faculty of Medicine, Podgorica, Montenegro and Head of the Center for Laboratory Diagnostics, Primary Health Care Center, Podgorica, Montenegro.

She graduated in 2004 at the School of Medicine, University of Belgrade, Serbia. She received her Master’s degree in 2011 and her Doctor′s degree in 2015. She became a member of the board of certified specialists in Clinical Biochemistry in 2011 and completed her Postgraduate studies in Laboratory Endocrinology in 2018.

Her research interests include cardiometabolic disorders, inflammation, and oxidative stress.

Awards:

• 2023 and 2024 – Award of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation for the best scientist in 2023 and 2024
• 2022, 2023, and 2024 – Stanford list 2% most-cited/most-influential scientists
• 2023 – Recognition of the University of Montenegro for the achieved results and contributions to the development of scientific research and professional work at the Faculty of Medicine in 2023

Dr. Aleksandra Klisic has published more than 150 articles as an author/co-author and has been a project leader/collaborator in several national and international projects. She has been invited as a speaker to a number of regional/international conferences.
