Dr. Panos Chatzistergos’ research spans mechanics of materials, human testing, and computer modelling, with key contributions to the personalisation/optimisation of orthopaedic and rehabilitative interventions. His work is driven by a focus on maximising real-world clinical impact through the democratisation of biomedical innovation. To achieve this, he develops accessible, clinically applicable translational tools that enable large-scale, cost-effective biomechanical assessments. Among these is the enhanced paper grip test for assessing lower-limb strength, which will be the focus of his talk.
