The student understands: – Pathophysiological processes and mechanisms of
the most common acute and overload sports injuries, – Symptoms and signs of the
most common acute and overload sports injuries, – Basic principles of
prevention of acute sports injuries and the effectiveness of various preventive
measures, – Specific physiotherapeutic procedures for the prevention and
treatment of overload syndromes in sport, – Physiotherapeutic procedures in
post-operative rehabilitation of sports injuries, – First aid procedures in
sports, – Criteria for returning to the training process after common sports
injuries, – Principles of gradual return to full competitive activity after
completion of treatment of the most common acute and overload injuries in sport.
