psychology: principles and determinants of development; developmental theories;
basic developmental characteristics at different developmental stages;
application of knowledge of developmental psychology to the field of
kinesiologist and physiotherapist • Stress and health; stress factors and
consequences; stress and burnout; psychosomatics; coping with stress; effective
ways of coping in the workplace and life in general • Communication: the
importance of effective communication within the work of kinesiologist and
physiotherapist; verbal and non-verbal aspects of communication; the role of
social skills with the emphasis on effective problem solving and conflict
resolution; communication as interpersonal transaction – emotional intelligence,
promoting empathy.
