Description
The student understands: – Epidemiology of the lower body injuries,
– Neuromuscular control of the lower body movement (intermuscular coordination
of functional movements, development of movement patterns and movement
learning), – Most common lower body problems (Facet pain, discogenic pain,
hernia disci, sacro-iliac joint pain, ankle injuries, anterior cruciate ligament
injurie, muscle strain, groin pain, knee collateral ligament injurie, anterior
knee pain), – Advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of the lower body
(palpation, testing of muscle strength and mobility, specific functional tests,
advanced methods of assessing posture and their use in practice), – Advanced
physiotherapeutic treatment of the lower body (therapeutic methods for a
targeted development of lower body strength and power, local and global
stabilization, methods of targeted stretching of lower body structures,
integration of various physiotherapeutic methods and approaches, preventive and
curative measures to prevent and treat lower body injuries), – External and
internal risk factors for lower body injuries.
