In order to control the spread of infectious disease Sars-Cov-2 (Covid-19), we unfortunately have to CANCEL our summer school “Prevention and Rehabilitation of Upper Body Injuries in Sport”, which should be organized from 6th to 10th July 2020.

WHY ATTEND?WHY ATTEND?
The main aim of the course is to present and introduce the students to the management of the upper trunk and the upper limbs injuries in sport. The objective of the course is to get the student to be able to plan and carry out all steps and aspects of the injury management: examination of athletes, designing and performing rehabilitation programs, preventing injuries and using supplementary techniques and physical agents. At the same time, the goal is for the student to know the background/etiology and epidemiology of sports injuries of the upper body. The objective of the course is also to teach the students to transfer the theoretical knowledge into practice and develop the ability to work in a team of health professionals, and finally, to critically evaluate their own work and the work of their colleagues.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
The social activities will be organized by the Student Council of UP Faculty of Health Sciences. Participants will have the opportunity to confront their views, acquire knowledge and make discoveries, while developing lifelong friendships and gaining unforgettable memories.
CREDITS EARNED
By completing the Summer School, participants will get awarded with 3 ECTS.
WHO CAN APPLY?
The summer school is intended for undergraduate students from Slovenia and abroad. Basic knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics and fundamentals of strength training and conditioning is recommended. Postgraduate students and other participants, working in the field of physical conditioning, preventive care and physiotherapy are also invited.
APPLICATION INFO
Participants can apply by fulfilling the application form. Applications are open until 31st March 2020, i.e. the program will be closed when the available places will be fully booked.
PRICE
The price of the program is 150 € per participant.
The price covers the organization of the Summer School, materials in e-form, transfer within the program to partner organizations, promotional materials and the Letter of confirmation.

The fee is due to be paid by 30th April 2020. The invoice will be provided after receipt of the payment.
Information in case of application cancellationCancellations should be sent to the following e-mail address: summerschool@fvz.upr.si. In case of application cancellation until 31st March 2020, the participants will be entitled to full refund; in case of application cancellation until 30th April 2020, the faculty withholds 30% of the payment; in the case of application cancellation after 30th April 2020, the fee will not be reimbursed.

The Summer School will take place in Izola, Slovenia.
