Summary:

The infrastructure program at the Faculty of Health Sciences supports high quality interdisciplinary research programs and projects in the field of medical and health sciences in relation to natural sciences and social sciences. The infrastructure group has experienced a rapid development in the last few years. In addition to the already well established basic research, research in the field of applied research has increased in recent years. The vision of the infrastructure group is to become a regional, national and even global centre in the field of health promotion and disease prevention, and to establish a close partnership with the private sector.

The infrastructure platform operates through eight specific laboratories and entities connected by research subjects: Laboratory for Kinesiology and Physiology, Laboratory for the Control of the Effectiveness of Movement, Physiotherapy Laboratory, Simulation Centre for Critically Ill Patient Treatment, Nutrition Centre with Experimental Kitchen, Microbiology Laboratory, Biochemistry Laboratory, Cell Culture Laboratory. The expertise and the equipment needed to achieve this work plan is already well established at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
