The 8th International Scientific Conference “Health of Different Age Groups”, organized by the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Primorska, was successfully concluded. The conference took place on Thursday, 17 September 2026, at the UP Faculty of Management in Koper.
The conference addressed health challenges across different stages of life and presented contemporary research and innovative approaches used in practice. The programme was interdisciplinary and focused on improving quality of life and reducing risk factors among different age groups. The conference provided a platform for bringing together diverse perspectives on health and covered the fields of healthcare, psychosocial aspects, physical activity, exercise, physiotherapy, nutrition, lifestyle, technology, and innovation.
Throughout the day, 3 keynote lectures and 38 oral abstract presentations were delivered, while 18 posters were presented in the poster session. The conference was attended by 115 participants from 12 countries, including Slovenia, Italy, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Japan, Namibia, Montenegro, Poland, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, and Iceland.
The presentations were delivered in six sessions:
- Health and quality of life across the lifespan
- Rehabilitation and clinical practice
- Nutrition and lifestyle – from health promotion to clinical nutrition
- Mental health, behavior, and motivation
- Technology and innovation in health sciences
- Person-Centered and Evidence-Based Health Care
