Description
The student gets acquainted with the basics of advanced manual approaches for the prevention and elimination of functional movement disorders:
– Evidence-based principles of manual physiotherapeutical treatment
– Physiology, principles and procedures of techniques of manual therapy for the reduction of pain, increase and/or preservation of range of motion, reduction of swelling, inflammation and movement limitations, relaxation, increasing contractile and non-contractile tissue elasticity
– The role of manipulation with high-velocity-low amplitude thrust manipulation techniques in manual physical therapy
– Overview of state-of-the-art approaches and methods in manual therapy (Cyriax, Maitland, McKenzie, Mulligan, and others);
– Upgrade of manual technique of joint mobilization
– Manual assessment and techniques of manual treatment of the jaw
– Ethiopathogenesis of vertebrogenic disorders and clinical image
– Advanced segmental assessment and neurological evaluation with manual techniques for the cervical part of the spine
– Advanced segmental assessment and neurological evaluation with manual techniques for the thoracic spine and the ribcage
– Advanced segmental assessment and neurological evaluation with manual techniques for the lumbar part of the spine
– Manual techniques for sacroiliac joint treatment
