CLINICAL TRAINING WITHIN THE FUNDAMENTALS OF NURSING Clinical training
takes place under the guidance of a mentor in social-health care institutions
that house the elderly population. Student: • assesses the condition and
psycho-physical abilities of the elderly, which are necessary for meeting basic
life needs and carrying out daily activities; • on the basis of identified
deficiencies, provides medical care that is adapted to each individual elderly
person; • in the treatment of the elderly, it is based on the process method of
work; • takes into account the principles of holism, ethics, empathy and
morality when treating the elderly; • recognizes and takes action in the event
of health problems/complications in the elderly within the framework of current
competence and competence; • participates in the diagnostic and therapeutic
treatment of the elderly within the framework of current competence and
competence; • gets to know the work and organizational processes that take place
in a social welfare institution; • helps the elderly to take part in animation
activities organized for them in the institution; • learns a professional
attitude towards the elderly, their relatives and the staff, as well as
cooperation in a team. CLINICAL TRAINING WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF GERONTOLOGICAL
NURSING Clinical training takes place in educational institutions and in social
welfare institutions for the elderly under the guidance of a clinical mentor.
Student: • getting to know the organization of the nursing service in the social
welfare institution • is involved in the work of the nursing and medical team
• transfers acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills from the
simulated environment to the clinical environment • carries out nursing
activities in an educational institution • get involved in a diagnostic and
therapeutic program at an educational institution • treats the patient (older
adult) according to the process method of work CLINICAL TRAINING IN THE
FRAMEWORK OF REHABILITATION: The student becomes demonstratively, assisted or
actively familiar with the contents that were theoretically presented as part of
the lectures and are indispensable for entering the clinical environment:
• Kinesiotherapy • Kinesthetics, positions and transfer • Posture assessment
• Muscle imbalance • Demonstration of techniques in the field of respiratory
physiotherapy, neurophysiotherapy and manual therapy The student familiarizes
himself with the content that was theoretically presented in the lectures in a
demonstrative, assisted or active manner Clinical part 1 • Basics of
kinesiotherapy and functional kinesiotherapy • Massage, lymphatic drainage
• Pressotherapy, cryotherapy, hydrotherapy • Electrotherapy, magnetotherapy,
laser, ultrasound and other techniques • Biomechanics, kinanthropology, health
physical education, safety at work, ergonomics with ergology Clinical part 2
• Techniques from cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, neurophysiotherapy,
ophthalmic physiotherapy, sports physiotherapy, manual therapy techniques,
gynecological physiotherapy, palliative physiotherapy, gerontological
physiotherapy treatment and other sub-disciplines Rehabilitation in gerontology
• Biology and physiology of aging • Osteoporosis and fractures • Rehabilitation
after amputations • Rehabilitation of patients with degenerative rheumatism
