_builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.19.4&#8243; custom_padding=&#8221;||0px|||&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The master&#8217;s study programme of Dietetics educates graduates to obtain the competences determined in the document European Academic and Practitioner Standards for Dietetics, issued by EFAD (European Federation of Associations of Dietitians).<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">They are used for various purposes and in the educational field represent a minimum framework of required knowledge, within which each curriculum of a study programme should be set. Three roles of dietitians have been established in Europe, as defined by the \u00bbEuropean Academic and Practitioner Standards\u00ab, to wit:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li class=\"rtejustify\"><strong>Administrative dietitian<\/strong>, who works in the fields of food provision in a variety of institutions, foundations and in public processing plants. She or he cooperates in ensuring adequate and quality food for individuals or groups in health and disease.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\"><strong>Clinical dietitian<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>is responsible for the nutritional care of people who are ill. She or he may be employed in primary care, as well as in hospitals, homes for the elderly, health spas, etc.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\"><strong>Public health dietitian<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>is directly involved in the promotion of health, mainly on the local level. She or he prepares programmes oriented to appropriate methods of nutrition to preserve adequate or to improve poor nutrition and thus reduce health risks to the population due to poor nutrition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">A graduate of the master&#8217;s study programme Dietetics has obtained basic knowledge of nutrition, supported by the contents of clinical subjects (diet therapy, nutriceutics, nutrigenomics etc.). Study also includes the field of social sciences (psychology of nutrition, knowledge of foreign languages etc.) and the study of research methods. Studies are completed with compulsory training in the working environment, which enables the student to transfer scientific knowledge into practice.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; font-weight: bold; text-transform: uppercase;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To be eligible for enrolment in the second-cycle Master&#8217;s degree programme Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition, applicants must:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>have completed the first-cycle professional study programme Nutritional Counselling \u2013 Dietetics, or an equivalent undergraduate study programme abroad, worth a minimum of 180 ECTS,<\/li>\n<li>have completed the following study programmes:\n<ul>\n<li>the first-cycle academic study programme Food Science and Nutrition, or an equivalent study programme of at least 180 ECTS,<\/li>\n<li>a first-cycle study programme of at least 180 ECTS, or a professional study programme (adopted before 11 June 2004) in the fields of health studies or kinesiology, or in the fields of natural or biotechnical sciences, or an equivalent study programme abroad in total worth of at least 180 ECTS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Candidates from the study programmes listed under point 2 have to complete study requirements that are essential for admission to the study programme Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition prior to enrolment in the study programme. Bridging examinations are set for each student individually based on their missing competencies from a set of courses from the undergraduate first-cycle professional study programme Nutritional Counselling &#8211; Dietetics (Biochemistry, Physiology, Clinical Nutrition 1 and Clinical Nutrition 2), which may amount up to 21 ECTS. Individual admission applications by candidates referred to in point 2 will be considered by the competent faculty Committee. Candidates shall complete additional study requirements during their first-cycle study, through supplementary study programmes or by exam sitting prior to enrolment in the study programme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To be able to take the bridging exams, the candidate must file in due time the Bridging Exams Application, whose form is available on the faculty&#8217;s website.
