The Faculty of Health Sciences is participating in the project with the acronym BICEPS (Building Financial Capability for Healthcare Professionals). The aim of the project is to train and prepare healthcare workers and colleagues and increase competences of health professions students in the field of health and financial literacy.<\/p>\n
As part of the project, a second summer school will be organised in July 2022 with the participation of students from the three countries involved in the project, namely Italy and the Czech Republic in addition to Slovenia. Participants will learn basics of clinical examination in athletes, how to design and perform training programs aiming at injury prevention, return to sports after injury and how to implement supplementary therapeutic techniques. The practical knowledge will be supported by the etiology and epidemiology of sports injuries of lower limbs. Additional emphasis will be put on the transfer of theoretical knowledge to practice and developing the ability to work in a team environment. Finally, participants will learn how to critically evaluate and improve their practical work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Summer School Programme Schedule<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n SOCIAL ACTIVITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The social activities will be organized by the Student Council of UP Faculty of Health Sciences. Participants will have the opportunity to confront their views, acquire knowledge and make discoveries, while developing lifelong friendships and gaining unforgettable memories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n CREDITS EARNED<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n By completing the Summer School, participants will get awarded with 3 ECTS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n WHO CAN APPLY?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Summer School is intended for undergraduate students from Slovenia and abroad<\/strong>. Basic knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics and fundamentals of strength training and conditioning is recommended. Postgraduate students and other participants<\/strong>, working in the field of physical conditioning, preventive care and physiotherapy are also invited. <\/p>\n\n\n\n APPLICATION INFO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Candidates can apply by fulfilling the application form<\/a><\/strong>.
